In June 2012, Kristen Stewart, best known for her role as Bella in Twilight, will be the star of the upcoming action adventure flick, Snow White and the Huntsman. Playing the Evil Queen is the beautiful Charlize Theron, who wants Snow White gone forever. The classic story with a twist portrays the Huntsman, (played by Chris Hemsworth), who is meant to kill Snow White but in reality has been training with her in the art of war. Such a clever spin on a well known fairytale!

And the trailer for the movie is very exciting!

Are you excited for this movie to come out? Is Kristen Stewart really the fairest of them all? What did you think of the trailer?

Earlier last week, Demi Lovato tweeted to her fans, “Hey guys…like my new look?” with the above photo posted donning a dark brunette bob with bangs. The beautiful 19 year old star looks good no matter what she does to her hair! Later on she tweeted, “It’s just a wig that I got today!! Hehe… Don’t freak!” and then, “I miss my black hair!”

Wig or not, she looked great! Maybe she bought it to show off on her tour or an upcoming performance? Guess we’ll have to watch and see! And does her missing her black locks mean she’ll be ditching the auburn she has right now and going back to dark?

What do you guys think about her look? Would you ever rock it? Did you like her better with black hair or do you prefer her current red hue?

Drumroll please! YouTube compiled a year end list of the top watched videos/clips of 2011, and in the number one spot we have . . . Rebecca Black with “Friday”! According to Google, she also landed the No. 1 spot for Google’s Fastest Rising Search of 2011. At the Rock the Red Kettle live concert on December 17th, Rebecca was interviewed about this honor. She stumbled over her words as she tried to thank her fans and was overwhelmed by the response her “Friday” video had. The 14 year old California girl sure had a great year!

Do you also love Rebecca’s hit song, “Friday”? Do you wish someone else landed the number one spot this year? What’s your favorite video of the year?

Yet more reasons to love the Biebs! Airing both online and on CTV in Canada on December 22nd in Toronto at Massey Hall, Justin Bieber’s Christmas Special really was something special! It was called Justin Bieber: Home for the Holidays, and featured him singing a duet with his baby sister, Jazmyn. She sang along to Justin’s hit, Baby, while he held her in his arms. It was a heartwarming moment! Also during his performance, Justin presented an oversized check for $500,000 to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Such a way to give back at Christmas time! Go Biebs!

Did you watch the special too? What was your favorite part?

This past Thursday, December 22nd, Ariana Grande (you may know her as Cat Valentine from Victorious) was spotted at Planet Hollywood in Times Square, NYC while promoting her debut single, “Put Your Hearts Up.” The 18 year old star looked adorable in a simple light pink and white striped dress. She even tweeted at her fans while she was there, “Just got finished at Planet Hollywood, omg! So overwhelmed!! Thank you all so much 4 coming…I have the best fans ever. I love you! xoxoxo♥

Ariana will also be doing a special performance at Iriving Plaza in NYC on December 28th!

There are under 100 days left until The Hunger Games FINALLY hits the big screen! Have you read the book? It is definitely worth reading! To celebrate the upcoming film, they are releasing a special movie poster- but you won’t know what it is unless you find ALL 100 puzzle pieces. That’s right- there are 100 puzzle pieces spread all over the internet and you need to find them all and put them together to figure out what the new movie poster is. Such an awesome idea and a great way to promote what is sure to be a hit movie.

What do you think about the book and movie? Are you excited to see it in action?

Christmas weekend, while sure to be filled with friends, family, food and presents, is always packed with lots of great new film releases. We Bought A Zoo will be released in theaters over the holiday and is a great family-friendly flick. It’s based on the true story of a father, Benjamin (played by Matt Damon) who purchases the zoo as an attempt to bring his family closer together, and Scarlett Johansson as the zookeeper who helps teach him the ropes. There are SO many adorable animals in it it’s hard to pick which is the cutest! We Bought A Zoo looks both funny and heartwarming, and should be one great movie!

You can watch the trailer here!:

Are you guys thinking about going to see it? If you could live in a zoo, would you?

I like to think the best about people and about the world we live in. I was raised knowing that I am loved and that the world is filled with good and just people.

However, it is not always the case. CDE has done a few anti-bullying campaigns before and we will do them again, for as long as it takes. There are so many anti-bullying organizations and yet, it continues. I am not sure if it isn’t working, or if people really do not care about each other.

I like to think that we do, but it seems that we do not think that our words and actions hurt other people. I can tell you that they do more damage then you might imagine. We have a society that is based on morals that are shallow to say the least.
Money, appearance and idiocracy seems to be more celebrated then intelligence and character. When we expose to ourselves to such role models, we lose perspective on what is right and just.

Goodness and charity aren’t just words, they are a statement. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if I felt that I’ve harmed someone. Most feel that they do not harm anyone when they actually do.

I want to tell you about Ashlynn Conner. A 10 year old who recently did the unthinkable.
She ended her short life.

I want you to remember that girl, because she never expressed the need to end her life. She never said anything about wanting to end it all. She did however, express that she was being bullied.
At some point, this little girl felt that she was so unwanted, so unloved, that she felt that there was no way out for her. Let me ask you this. What society do you want to live in?

Do you want to live in one where we care about each other, or one where we care about ourselves?
I like to live in one where Ashlynn could have friends and was loved based on her character, Where she is a fellow human being. A person in a vast ocean of different personalities and attributes. I want a world where our different abilities make us special and appreciated, not mocked and ridiculed.

Next time you utter a insult to someone, or make fun of them for being different, think about a 10 year old who we will never have the pleasure to know. A wonderful little girl who will never see adulthood. Who knows what she could’ve achieved in life. Now we will never know what kind of person she could’ve become.

Remember her when you see someone crying in a corner.
Do not let anyone suffer in silence.

Our hearts go out to Ashlynn and the Conner family.
