A safe haven for the imagination

Last month, Peyton List of Disney’s show “Jessie”, was spotted on the red carpet at the “Wreck It Ralph” premiere. Her outfit, as usual, was super adorable! Here’s how to get her look!

First, you’ll need to wear your hair down like her. She used a big barreled curling iron and a flexible hold hair spray to set her wavy locks. Make sure you have a side part so it can fall over one eye a little bit!

When you are pleased with your hair, next is makeup. This part is east because Peyton likes the natural look the best (and she looks great rocking it!). So really all you need is a tinted lip gloss and an all over tinted moisturizer to complete the look! That leaves the outfit to duplicate.

Her high necked bright blue blouse with little pleats around the buttons is super vintage looking and so cute! We found a similar top (but with less pleating and a darker shade of blue) at Forever 21 for much cheaper!

Or, if you’d rather keep the same color and have a little bit of a different look, we found another long sleeved blue top at Forever 21 with a bow detail that is perfect!

Next, you’ll need black leggings. You probably already own a pair of these, but if you don’t, check out the ones at Delia*s! They are comfortable, inexpensive and will match everything!

Now all you will need is a light blue clutch bag and a pair of red pumps, just like Peyton List wore!

For the heels, we went to DSW and found a great pair of patent leather peep toe pumps by Kelly & Katie called Jubilee. For the bag, we thought, ‘Why stray far?’ and checked out DSW while we were there! And it’s a good thing we did, because we found a GREAT blue Melie Bianco Rhinestone Clutch! This season on Pretty Little Liars, Ashley Benson‘s character, Hanna, has a new haircut! Love her look? Well here’s how you can get it!

First you’ll need a shoulder length haircut. Make sure it’s full of layers to add texture and volume! Wash it and towel dry. Add a small amount of anti-frizz syrum or leave in conditioner- this will help hold the shape later. If you have naturally wavy hair already, let it air dry- your part is already done! If your hair is straight and you want to create these waves, then after it’s dry you’ll need a curling iron. Section off your hair. With a big barreled curling iron, make several loose curls a few inches away from your roots. Your whole head my look very curly after this, but you aren’t done yet! Next spray your head with a light flexible hold hairspray. Now for the fun part- shake your hair in your hands and knock out some of the curls! This will leave fun large waves, just like Ashley’s.

For Hanna‘s signature makeup, you’ll need a fun pink gloss or lipstick. We love Sephora’s Endless Pink cream lip stain.

You’ll also need a great palatte of eyeshadow to create drama with. Too Faced has a great eyeshadow and blush collection with natural hues to bring out your cheekbones and create a fabulous smoky eye!

Lastly you’ll need eyeliner and mascara to highlight your lashes! To get that perfect black line around your eyelid, try an easy glide on pencil, like Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil! It comes in a dark matte black, a black with silver glitter in it, and about a million other colors!

For mascara, choose something to compliment the liner- and if you aren’t sure, black always works! Smashbox’s Full Exposure mascara in Jet Black is both volumizing and lengthening- perfect combo!

Twilight’s Kristen Stewart was seen in Paris for the Balmain Spring/Summer 2013 Show on September 27, 2012 for Paris Fashion Week. Back with longtime boyfriend (and Twilight fan fave!) Robert Pattinson, Kristen must be doing something right! Maybe it’s her quirky but fun fashion sense? With the guide below, you can dress like Kristen Stewart!

Kristen’s light yellow leather jacket is pricey, but you can grab a similar look with this yellow blazer from H&M! It’s the perfect jacket to pair with a black dress and boots, or with jeans and a tee. So many options!

If you love the black and white pant look but you aren’t so much into flowers, try out these black & white zig zag pants from Forever 21! The black ribbon belt that comes with it adds such a cute touch!

Your black shirt and black boots can both come from Delia*s! There are tons of choices, but these are our picks. We love the three buckles on the boots, plus they look super comfy! We could totally see wearing this for a day on the town with our friends

And of course, we can’t forget about the simple long necklace decorating Kristen’s neck. The Limited had such a great look alike- gold and dog tag style! Perfect for a fancy occasion or even something casual like a day of shopping with your friends.

Well, it’s that time of year again! School is right around the corner and that means new Fall Fashion Trends are here. According to Seventeen Magazine, the must-have colors of the upcoming season are: anything BRIGHT!! (as shown the Jenner sisters above and below!) Check out our list of other major trends for this school year.

-Denim jackets with puffy sleeves are making a reappearance! Ask your mom is she has one from the 80′s hiding in the back of her closet- then not only will you have a current trend, but your jacket will also be vintage!

-Sleeveless blazers or long vests coupled with a t-shirt, printed neon leggings and some high top sneakers will continue to be comfortable and fashionable this year. Or pair with a floral dress and boots to make it more girly!

-Plaid is SO in this year, and you will see it all over when you go shopping! Try a plaid button up shirt and some skinny jeans for a casual look. If going totally plaid isn’t your style, maybe a small plaid purse is right for you!

-Accessorize! As always, accessories can make or break an outfit. This Fall, look towards headbands, flowers, and sparkly clips for your hair; tons of bangles or a large cuff bracelet for your wrists; layered necklaces for your neck; and brightly colored gemstone rings and brooches for your hands and jacket! You can even accessorize with bright nail polish and shiny berry lip gloss. That extra pop of color will really set you apart!

-Lastly, no look is complete without SHOES! Black leather boots with some violet leggings can be your new signature look! Or how about a pair of neon sneakers or super bright patent leather ballerina flats? If you want something with height, try a pair of chunky platforms to round out your look.

No matter what you choose, make sure your look screams YOU!

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and no matter who you are, you probably have a Valentine. Whether it’s a bestie, a parent, or a boyfriend or girlfriend, you’re probably trying to find a special gift for that special someone.

Last night, Emily Osment’s new movie, “Cyberbully” appeared on ABC Family. It is the story of a high school girl, Taylor, who gets a laptop for her 17th birthday. Taylor is excited at the idea of internet freedom, and signs up for a popular social network called Clicksters.

Taylor quickly becomes the victim of a cyber bully, who says mean things about her, spreads rumors, and completely crushes Taylor’s emotions. She is upset and afraid, but not really sure who to turn to.

We think it’s important for ALL of you to understand the message of this movie. Cyberbullying is a REAL issue, and plenty of kids have been affected by it. Just because the internet is anonymous, doesn’t mean that you’re invincible. You should always be aware of what you say to other people online, just as you would in real life. Just because you can hide behind a username doesn’t make it okay to be mean to people. Bullying is bullying, whether offline or online, and you should treat others with respect.

If you’re the victim of a cyberbully, you should always tell someone. A parent, a teacher, any adult that you feel comfortable talking to. The movie has a happy ending, but in real life it’s not always that easy. It’s always important to speak up when you are being bullied, no matter if its online or off. Help is out there, and you DON’T have to live in fear of bullies.

Figuring out what to wear to your Prom can be just as stressful as cramming for finals. Just like style and fashion changes from season to season, the major trends for Prom change with each year as well. To help make your life a little easier (and to make sure you have enough time to study for that big math test!), we’ve made a list of 6 Awesome Prom Trends for 2011.

1. Princess Style -
Tulle and pick-ups are super huge prom dress trends this year, more than they have been in quite awhile. This year, Prom seems to be all about bringing out your inner princess! Other big trends are sequins, lace, and shimmery taffeta. 2011 is truly all about being super girly!

2. Sheer and Airy -
Prom dresses can sometimes be big and bulky, but this year, it’s all about the lighter fabrics. Chiffon, organza, and charmeuse are some of the hot fabrics this year.

3. Clutches -
It’s always really hard trying to figure out what kind of bag, if any, to bring to Prom with you. This year, you’re covered. Just grab a sparkly clutch that matches your dress, and you’re done! Simple and small, but with enough room to store your makeup for a mid-prom touchup!

4. Be BOLD -
Don’t be afraid to make a statement with your dress, your accessories, or your hair. Big, bold, chunky accessories are totally in. Wear a gorgeous sparkly costume necklace to totally complete your look. Don’t be afraid to wear a tiara, either. Not only the Prom Queen deserves one. Everyone is a princess on Prom night.

5. Drama, Drama, Drama -
No one wants drama on Prom night, but adding a bit of drama to your Prom dress is totally cool! Try a dress with lots of folds and textures or maybe something off the shoulder. Ruffles are always awesome too! It’s totally okay to make a big statement. You may not be walking the red carpet, but getting inspiration from your favorite celebs is a great way to help pick out your perfect prom dress.

6. Short Style -
More and more, short and mid-length prom dresses are becoming more and more in style for Prom. It’s not just about long gowns anymore. You’ll look like a total fashionista breaking the norm and making a huge statement in a short dress. Don’t be afraid!

No matter what the trends are, the most important piece of advice I can give you guys for Prom is to BE CONFIDENT and HAVE FUN! If someone doesn’t like your dress, it doesn’t matter. It’s not about competition, it’s about getting all fancy, having an amazing time, and saying goodbye to your high school years. Prom, especially pre-prom planning, can get really stressful because everyone is trying to book limos and plan after parties and pick out the perfect dress – but just remember to stay cool, take a deep breath, and keep in mind that once you’re all out on the Prom dance floor – none of the drama will matter anymore!
