Get The Look: Lyndsy Fonseca

January 15th, 2015

lyndsy fonseca

Actress Lyndsy Fonseca plays super spy Angie Martinelli on the new ABC Marvel TV series “Agent Carter,” though you may recognize her from playing Ted‘s daughter for all those years in “How I Met Your Mother!”

She posed on the red carpet at The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena, California yesterday, January 14th, to celebrate the Disney ABC Television Group‘s TCA Winter Press Event Tour party. She wore a cropped black shirt, silver and black patterned skirt and very unique heels to pull off a really classy look. We found a few pieces that remind us of Lyndsy‘s outfit, and we thought we would share them with you in case you wanted to get her look too!

crop top charlotte russe

First up, you will need a black cropped shirt. We like the one above from Charlotte Russe called the Textured Scuba Knit Crop Top.

h&m skirt

Next you will need a skirt. We like this ribbon embroidered skirt from H&M! Super cute pattern and style!

dsw

Lastly you need totally unique and cool heels. We picked the above ones from DSW. They are the Michael Antonio Jazz Pump and they are super classy! The pointy toe and funky cutouts totally remind us of the ones Lyndsy is wearing!

What do you think about the outfit we pulled together to look like Lyndsy Fonseca? Which is your favorite piece from it?

jade thirlwall

Today’s Throwback Thursday post is dedicated to 22 year old Little Mix band mate Jade Amelia Thirlwall! Jade just celebrated her birthday the day after Christmas, on December 26th. She’s awesome, original and one of four girls who make up Little Mix, alongside Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. There are so many reasons to pick Jade for today’s TBT post, but check out which photos we chose and you’ll easily see why we did!

jade as mystique

Jade went as Mystique from X-Men for Halloween, and her costume totally rocked! She shared the above photo and said,

“Massive thank you to @Michellewebbmakeup and
@Hugogamboamua for doing this incredible transformation #xmen #mystique “

jade in a minnie mood

We love her because sometimes she is just,

“In a Minnie mood”

jade and her mom

Another great shot that Jade shared with her Instagram followers was the above photo, captioned with a simple heart. It’s a pic of her and her mom- so sweet!

“We’ll Be The Stars” by Sabrina Carpenter

January 14th, 2015

sabrina carpenter

It’s here! The song we were waiting for by actress-singer Sabrina Carpenter has just dropped, and it’s awesome. “We’ll Be The Stars” is fun and sweet, just like Sabrina is! She was super excited to share the big news on her Twitter account, sharing the above photo and saying,

“#WellBeTheStars IS OUT ON ITUNES CLICK THIS HERE LINK https://itun.es/us/EkfV4

Ready for a listen? Check out the song below and read along with the lyrics we posted underneath it! Enjoy!

“We’ll Be The Stars”

We are young, we are gold.
Trying things we didn’t know.
Looking at the sky.
See it come alive.

All our fears became our hopes.
Climbed out every locked window.
You’re the lion’s mane
We fell out from the rain

We can reach the constellations.
Trust me, all our dreams are breaking out.

No, we’re never gonna turn to dust.
All we ever need is us.
Don’t be scared or close your eyes.
No, we’re never gonna die,
We’ll be the stars.
Oh, no we’re never gonna step too far.
Yeah, we’re holding on to who we are.
When it’s time to close our eyes,
They’ll see us in the sky.
We’ll be the stars

Let me in, hold me close.
Fill my heart with simple notes.
So when it’s hard to see,
They’ll be there reminding me.

Take my breath, and hold me high,
So I can feel the city lights glowing under me
It’s on our reach, we’re breaking out.

We can reach the constellations
Trust me, all our dreams are breaking out.

No, we’re never gonna turn to dust.
All we ever need is us.
We’ll be the stars.
Oh, no we’re never gonna step too far.
Yeah, we’re holding on to who we are.
When it’s time to close our eyes,
They’ll see us in the sky.
We’ll be the stars

It’s such a great song! We love it, Sabrina! We hope you come out with new stuff soon too because we can’t wait to hear more.

Charli XCX and Rita Ora: “Doing It”

January 12th, 2015

rita ora charli xcx

British singers Charli XCX and Rita Ora teamed up for a feel good girl power song that will surely be a 2015 anthem! It’s called “Doing It” and it’s very catchy and fun. It will totally get stuck in your head! The duo released the song on Soundcloud earlier this week and it’s already got a ton of positive feedback. Listen to the awesome collaboration below and be sure to read along with the lyrics so you know every word too.

“Doing It”

We’re staying all night
We never slow down
I think we better do it like we’re doing it now
It’s been a long time
Since we’ve been around
So come on, let’s keep doing it like we’re doing it
Doing it like we’re doing it

Waited so long just to be here
And now we’re bringing this back to life, yeah, we’re bringing this back to life
Want you to know how I miss ya
And now I got you right by my side, yeah, I got you right by my side

Locked inside my veins you’re in my blood, in my blood
And we united forevermore

We’re staying all night
We never slow down
I think we better do it like we’re doing it now
It’s been a long time
Since we’ve been around
So come on, let’s keep doing it like we’re doing it
Doing it like we’re doing it now

Keep doing it like we’re doing it
Doing it like we’re doing it

Friends like a team in a circle
We’re together we’re so alive, yeah, together we’re so alive
Joy like a jewel let it sparkle
Know that I got your back for life, yeah, I got your back for life

Keep doing it like we’re doing it
Doing it like we’re doing it now

All night long
We dancing to this song
We doing it, we going on and on, on and on
All night long
We dancing to this song
We doing it, we going on and on, on and on

(All night long
We dancing to this song)

(All night long
We dancing to this song)

What did you think of Charli XCX and Rita Ora‘s collaboration of “Doing It”? Are you going to be singing it all week too?
