Vanella is the fairy queen of fantasy land. When she touches something with her magic wand, it acquires the ability to think and talk, even if it did not have that power before. She has given speech to many mice and ducks, who have become her close friends. She once had an unfortunate incident with a gingerbread man, who she accidentally brought to life even though she meant to serve him as a snack. She and the Gingerbread Man are getting along well now, and she just invited him to her Christmas picnic.
