Haruhi is a maid at a very exclusive hotel. She makes all of her own uniforms on her antique sewing machine, and is a fashion guru for other cleaning ladies. On her off hours, she takes night classes at the nearby college. Her goal is to become a sign language teacher. Her brother is hearing impaired, and so she can sign even faster than she can talk.
