Guys Reveal Why You Scare Them To Death

Just because you think he’s the hottest guy you’ve ever seen (and therefore the most intimidating) doesn’t mean that he is fearless, especially when it comes to you. Chances are, he’s just as scared as you are, if not more so. Think about it. All the pressure is put on guys in a dating situation. The guy is traditionally the one to ask the girl out. He has to impress her parents. He has to come up with what you two do on your date (and it better be good!)

But there are a bunch of other things that girls do that scare guys as well – and they have nothing to do with who chooses the restaurant or whether or not your father chases him out the door with a shotgun. Here are just a few of them. You’ll probably relate!

Fear 1 - Do You Love Me?

Sometimes girls have a habit of pushing guys to answer certain questions a little too fast for their taste. Here are some questions that most guys don’t want to hear after you two have been dating and talking on the phone for only a week or two:

And a note of caution – stay away from any guy who tries to ask you those questions right after you two start hanging out. Run, in fact, as far and as fast as you can in the opposite direction.

Fear 2 - Rejection

On the other hand, another of a guy’s greatest fears when it comes to girls is the opposite of the first. What if he gets up enough nerve to tell you something serious, something like he really likes you or (gulp) loves you or wants to be in a serious relationship with you – and you say ‘That’s nice.’ Or worse, ‘Oh, no.’

Imagine how you would feel, telling a guy that you really liked him. If he didn’t feel the same, how would you like him to respond? Here are a few tips to guide you through this uncomfortable situation so that you don’t hurt the guy’s feelings.

Fear 3 – Fake vs. Real

Fake hair, fake eyelashes, fake nails, fake body parts, fake accent, fake attitude – scary stuff. All of this is based on insecurity, right? Insecure girls are no fun for guys. A guy ends up having to re-assure her constantly. Plus, if someone isn’t being themselves, who knows what their true self is like? What if it’s awful? These are the things that scare guys the most.

If you think about it, all these things would scare you, too. How would you like a guy pretending to be someone he’s not, asking you pushy questions before you’ve had a chance to get to know him or telling everyone in school that you’re in love with him? Kindness, discretion, and patience is the best way to handle a new relationship. Let things happen naturally and you’ll avoid a great many mistakes in the process.
