So pick up lines are cheesy, right? What’s your sign? And Aren’t you tired? You’ve been running through my mind all day. But the question is, why would guys keep using stupid lines if they didn’t work at least some of the time? The answer: occasionally, a guy comes up with something that isn’t totally ridiculous (or disgusting) and has good intentions – and it does work.

It’s the oldest advice in the book, but being yourself is the best way to meet someone who is right for you. No matter what pick up line you use, make sure you follow it up with sincerity. Show your sense of humor. Don’t assume that because he’s cute that he’s interesting or fun or even nice. Be skeptical and friendly at the same time. If he’s worth the effort, he will be, too.
