Sad Poems
The Act of Waiting
By Deborah Kim
The act of waiting
Nothing more grueling
To quicken, there's none
Try helping, that's done.
Pardon me, apathy
You offter to set me free
But in you, I cannot see
The thoughts of him- that is he.
Please allow me to wait
There I am free to speculate
And every moment lends itself
For me to fluster, anticipate.
The act of waiting,
Nothing more grueling,
But in waiting, I am his,
And in waiting, I am his.
Oh, the sweet pain of romance.
Forget you, I Cannot
By Deborah Kim
The heart still skips a beat
When you send a thought.
The eyes still shed a tear-
Forget you, I cannot
The ears still hear the voice
Of words you used to say.
The lips still feel your breath-
In you, my soul will stay.
The eyes still shed a tear
In the dark without you here.
You will always have my thought-
Forget you, I cannot.
